Calm corners can be an effective tool when children need space to process their emotions. Calm corners are helpful in classrooms, but could also be utilized in the home!

An alternative to having a space for calming, is a box or a bag of activities to help children process emotions. Things like fidget toys, manipulatives, balloons, soft toys and bubbles are great options.
