Lets Talk
WCCI Conferences.

What is it?
A community impact event focused on transforming Watauga County and creating a shared understanding of how trauma and resiliency affect behavior, learning, and lifetime physical and mental health.

Who would benefit from attending?

The conference is not just for service providers, but for anyone who interacts with people professionally, personally, or through volunteer or service opportunities. WCCI is on a mission to spread awareness of the short- and long-term impacts of trauma and resiliency on your emotional, behavioral and physical health through your lifetime.

How does trauma impact our health?

Watch this short 15 minute video to hear a well-known pediatrician and author explain in a way that's easy to understand:

Do I have to pre-register for the conference?

I'm not in the helping profession.
Can this benefit me?

Yes, pre-registration is required to attend the WCCI conference. Please click on the button below to register by 3/31
WCCI 2021 Conference
Absolutely. Unresolved trauma contributes to homelessness, joblessness, repeat involvement with the criminal justice system, higher rates of mental illness, and greater numbers of health issues. Knowing how to help prevent trauma, build resiliency, and create safe spaces for our residents makes our community better for all of us.

What have other people said about past conferences?

"This was the most powerful experience I have ever had."
"I learned more today than in all my other training days combined."
"This has changed my life."
"The most profound thing that has ever happened to me."
